Since 1943, the Canadian Home Builders’ Association has been “the voice of Canada’s residential construction industry” – one of the most vital and enterprising industries in Canada. Representing more than 8,000 member firms across Canada, CHBA members come from every area of Canada’s housing industry.

In a constantly evolving business environment, the CHBA is the industry’s agent for positive change. They keep a constant eye on the regulatory environment and the marketplace. They develop clear, practical positions on issues that matter to the industry and our consumers. They make sure that our voice is heard, loud and clear, and that we reach and influence decision-makers at all levels of government

The Program offers deposit protection, builder performance protection, structural integrity and first year warranty protection to home buyers as well as mediation, conciliation and arbitration procedures. In addition to providing warranty services, The Alberta New Home Warranty Program also initiates programs to enhance performance and build technical expertise amongst builders. It also acts as a resource to home buyers, providing relevant information relating to the purchase and maintenance of a new home or condominium.

The Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta (PHBIA) has always been committed to conducting its activities according to high standards of honesty, integrity and the law. This Code has been adopted by the Board of Directors to ensure there is a clear understanding of the standards to be followed by directors, officers and employees. PHBIA also expects its advisers, contractors and suppliers to meet comparable standards.

The Red Deer Construction Association exists to serve its’ members; by displaying plans and information on current projects in the industry; by acting as their collective voice on issues of concern; and by promoting standards, education, and communication in an effort to benefit the industry and society.
